Our position
GerGame respects intellectual property rights. All games on the Site are original works produced in-house. All written content is original to GerGame editors. If you believe content on the Site infringes a copyright you own, this page explains how to notify us.
Filing a DMCA takedown notice
To submit a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (or equivalent law in your jurisdiction), email us at hello@gergame.com with "DMCA Notice" in the subject line. The notice must include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- Identification of the material on GerGame that you claim is infringing, including the URL.
- Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
What happens next
We acknowledge receipt within 2 business days. We review the notice promptly. If the claim appears valid, we remove or disable access to the material and notify the alleged infringer (if the material was uploaded by a user). If we believe the claim is invalid, we will respond explaining why.
Counter-notice
If your content has been removed and you believe the takedown was in error or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice. The counter-notice must include:
- Identification of the material that was removed and the URL where it appeared.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the relevant courts.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material 10-14 business days after receipt unless the original complainant files a court action.
Repeat infringers
We reserve the right to terminate access for users who are determined to be repeat infringers. Since GerGame does not currently accept user-generated content, this provision applies primarily to scraping or republishing of our content.
False claims
Filing a false DMCA notice may make you liable for damages, including costs and attorney fees. Please consult a lawyer if you're unsure whether to file a claim.
