GerGame is a portal for browser games. Most game portals chase volume — a thousand titles, an algorithm that keeps reshuffling them, a layout designed around ad revenue per session. We are not that.
We list twenty-three games. We wrote all of them. Each one runs in a browser without an install. Each one has a written review from an editor who actually played it. Each one is free, with no advertising inside the game frame and no tracking from inside the game itself.
Why twenty-three and not three hundred
Curation is a real act of work. Aggregation is just collecting. The twenty-three games on GerGame are the ones we thought were worth building well — Tetris-adjacent puzzlers, Sudoku that solves in five minutes, a Tic-Tac-Toe AI that genuinely cannot be beaten on Hard. Could we license another two hundred games from a distribution network and triple our pageviews? Yes. Would they be any better? No. So we didn't.
Who we are
GerGame is run by a small team. We write the code. We design the SVG covers. We write the editorial reviews. We're not a venture-backed company, we're not an influencer brand, we're not part of a network. The site exists because we thought there should be one place running browser games the way they were meant to feel — clean, fast, no nonsense.
How we make money
The site runs ads on the catalog and detail pages — never inside the game frame. We're applying for Google AdSense and may add other ad networks once we qualify. If we ever take direct sponsorships from game developers (we currently don't), we will mark them clearly as sponsored.
We do not sell user data. We do not run third-party tracking inside games. We do collect anonymous analytics on which games people play and which articles they read, so we know what to prioritize. The full data practices are described in our Privacy Policy.
How we make games
Each game on GerGame is written in vanilla HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — no frameworks, no engines beyond the browser itself. Code sizes range from 5KB (Reaction Test) to 30KB (Block Drop). They load in under a second on a mid-range Android phone over LTE. They work offline once cached.
We don't reuse code across games. Each one is its own implementation, tuned to its own feel. This is slower than building on a shared engine, but the result is that no game on GerGame feels like another game with a skin swap.
What we won't do
- We won't add power-ups or in-app purchases.
- We won't add daily login bonuses or streak mechanics.
- We won't run pre-roll video ads inside game frames.
- We won't track players inside games.
- We won't license content from networks just to inflate the catalog count.
